i know it’s only been a few hours since i said that i was going to take a break. but i needed to share this because this is my day today. and its too good of a song and a time to not put it up.
and the future hangs over our heads and it moves with each current event until it falls all around like a cold steady rain just stay in when it’s lookin’ this way
and the moon’s laying low in the sky forcing everything metal to shine and the sidewalk holds diamonds like a jewelry store case they argue “walk this way,” “no walk this way”
and the world’s got me dizzy again you’d think after 22 years I’d be used to the spin and it only feels worse when I stay in one place so I’m always pacing around or walking away I keep drinking the ink from my pen and I’m balancing history books up on my head but it all boils down to one quotable phrase "If you love something give it away" A good woman will pick you apart a box full of suggestions for your possible heart But you may be offended, and you may be afraid but don’t walk away, don’t walk away
I’ve grown tired of holding this pose I feel more like a stranger each time I come home So I’m making a deal with the devils of fame Sayin’ let me walk away, please You’ll be free child once you have died from the shackles of language and measurable time And then we can trade places, play musical graves till then walk away walk away walk away walk away So I’m up at dawn, putting on my shoes I just want to make a clean escape I’m leaving but I don’t know where to I know I’m leaving but I don’t know where to
so. i have a senior seminar paper that is 20 pages to write by next wednesday. i also have a full week and weekend ahead of me. all of my down time is going to be devoted to writing this paper. therefore i will not be on tumblr… unless my brain is about to explode. but even then i might not be. so here is my resignation for the next week and a half.
i can’t wait to break up with college in three weeks. for three weeks. then we will get back together but it will be an easier and more fun semester of our relationship.
“Everybody has a secret world inside of them. All of the people of the world, I mean everybody. No matter how dull and boring they are on the outside, inside them they’ve all got unimaginable, magnificent, wonderful, stupid, amazing worlds. Not just one world. Hundreds of them. Thousands maybe.”—Neil Gaiman (via kellyesque)
“Try to overcome your doubt. Believe you are beautiful. Look at yourself through someone else’s green eyes. Believe someone out there will find you and kiss your skin until you can feel it blister with the heat. Believe in something bigger than your problems and you will be saved”—Max Bemis (via cobwebsturntocables)
“Okay, how ya doing? I’m Lloyd, and we’re gonna watch the movie “Cocoon.” I’ve never actually seen it, but I heard it’s very good, it makes you happy, thats a good thing. It’s about a group of older people who go to outer space… hope I didnt give anything away there.”—
sometimes people just need to keep their fucking petty shit to themselves.
seriously. grow the fuck up. and get over it. cause there are so many important other things going on in the world besides what you think is important right now.
one day something shitty is going to happen to you. and you’ll realize that all of your friends are gone. and that you have burned all your bridges and the only people you have left won’t be there for you because they are shitty people too.
have fun figuring that shit out.
today was a good day. this is me smiling. chin up. shit is shit. no need to stress.
“Blue yonder dreams
And second hand shoes
You’re so far gone,
That you’re left to lose.
It’s too late to go home
Your the tar in that
And the worn out cable
On a cable car - and,
You’re too tired to admit
You’ve gotta choose.”—
“I’m looking for a song to sing and
I’m Looking for a friend to borrow
I’m looking for my radio
So I might find a heart to follow
I’ve never been just longing for your loving
I’ve never been just wearing down to nothing
I’ve never been just looking for a reason
So that maybe you’ll be thinking of me
You’ll be thinking of me”—Song to Sing, Hanson
